Date the rate, marry the house…
Recently, the Fed raised interest rates to keep inflation under control. Inflation can eliminate much of our wealth and savings in the long term. So while this rate increase may be seen as a negative, keep your vision on the long term. Short-term “pain” for long-term “gain.”
Remember, though, rates are temporary and economists predict that rates will decline in about 36 months, which means you can refinance.
Buyers: Home prices are beginning to stabilize. Real estate in Palm Beach remains in strong demand with a lower supply market, but the pandemic pricing and bidding wars are a thing of the past. Now is still the time to buy! For real estate investors, this is a prime time to capitalize on the opportunities presented in the market, especially in Florida.
Sellers: If you want to list your home, list it! Days on the market have increased slightly yearly, so be informed AND price competitively.
